I was previously acquainted with a startup, UTSAV, a yoga company selling online and in-studio yoga classes from Gurugram, India. Our UX team was responsible for conducting user research, analyzing qualitative data, and running usability tests for proposed interface designs. Later we developed a subscription model wherein we lanched comprehensive yoga programs to relieve different body ailments for our customer cohorts.
We also developed a personal yoga training module wherein Yoga trainers could create an account with Utsav to get bookings from customers wanting a one-on-one yoga session either online or in-studio. A social media functionality was proposed to post content and challenges by teachers and students to build community engagement.
I was hired as a UX designer intern under the UX manager leading our team. I was tasked with conducting secondary research to understand competitive landscape, pooling data with usability test results and to propose wireframing sketches solutions. After just enough wireframe explorations and usability tests we started to design the user-interface elements.
